About Us
Background
Women for Green Nature is a female-led registered non-profit, a company limited by guarantee incorporated under Uganda’s Companies Act. It was born out of the need to protect the environment for both the present and future generations. Women sat down and realized that environmental degradation is becoming rampant in our country, a factor that is exacerbating the climate crisis. To address environmental degradation, the realisation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as 5, 7, and 13 is key.
